We were given a rubber band, and a piece of foam insulation to make a 3g man float with his head above the water rather than him sinking. My group decided to design a life jacket that looks like one one in real life. We took the foam insulation and cut it in half and then made holes so his arms would fit into the sides of the “life jacket”. Then we reduced the size of the 2 foam pieces, so it would be 100% even. Then one person held the man with the pieces wrapped around so they met in the middle and another person from our group wrapped the rubber band around so it would be secure. After that we tested our man with his life jacket and it was successful.
